"New Stars" Classes divided by difference in levels of proficiency and involve children ages 3-14:
- Baby Dancer (3-6 years old), 1st and 2nd year of education. Children learn to move and control the body. Various body developing exercises such as jumps, steps, turns, balance and flexibility exercises are used to strengthen the body, develop confidence, and create a fun atmosphere. Basic elements of Ballet, easy Ballroom dances including Polka, Beat-Rock, Waltz, Pa-de-Grasse, Cha-cha-cha, Rilio are learned at this stage along with the ability to participate in shows. Classes are 30 - 40 minutes long.
- Newcomer (5-14 years old), 1st - 3rd year of education. Children begin to learn basic movements and easy competitive patterns for Ballroom in Latin, Waltz, Cha cha cha, Quickstep, Rumba, Samba, and Jive and participate in shows. Classes are 45 minutes long.
- Syllabus 1(5-14 years old), 3rd and 4th year of education. Children continue to practice basic movements and learn syllabus competitive patterns of Ballroom and Latin dances as Waltz, Cha cha cha, Quickstep, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Tango, participate in competitions and shows. Classes are 45 minutes long.
- Syllabus 2 (9-14 years old), 5th and higher year of education. Children continue to practice basic movements and learn high level syllabus competitive patterns of Ballroom and Latin dances as Waltz, Cha cha cha, Quickstep, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Tango, Foxtrot, participate in competitions and shows. Classes are 45 minutes long.
- Masters (11-14 years old), 7th and higher year of education. Dancers continue to practice basic movements and learn open competitive patterns of Ballroom and Latin dances as Waltz, Cha cha cha, Quickstep, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz and Paso Doble, participate in National and International competitions and shows. Classes are 45 minutes long.
Classes are offered at Oly's Studio and at the Emerald Ballet Theater in Bellevue located at 12368 Northup Way Bellevue Washington
